About Us
"It's nice to see you out today."
If you've heard it once, you've heard it a thousand times. At Wheelie Canadian, we're done with the "nice" talk. We're here for the real talk.
The Story Behind the Brand
Life at home with Paralympic Gold Medalist Chris Daw isn't a slow-motion montage — it's grit, it's active, and it's usually hilarious. I'm Elizabeth, wife to Chris, and I'm the one who designed the shirts.
I know both sides of this life: Chris's chair is the disability everyone sees, and my osteoarthritis is the one nobody does. (Yes, I can walk. Yes, I use a wheelchair — we play wheelchair curling together, and I don't plan on losing.) Between us, we've heard it all.
I founded Wheelie Canadian to trade the "inspirational" stereotypes for the everyday reality we actually live: raw, funny, and ready for the roll. The world needed apparel that matched the energy of the community — something that captures the sweat, the sarcasm, and the constant movement of a life lived at full speed.
Our Mission
We aren't here to be your "inspiration." We're here to give you the gear that says what you're actually thinking. We design for:
- The Athletes: who know that gold medals are built on grit, not just "good vibes." (We'd know — there's one in the house.)
- The Grinders: who treat every day as a new opportunity to push limits.
- The Jokers: who use humor to navigate a world that doesn't always "get it."
Wheelie Canadian is more than a shop — it's a movement to reclaim the narrative, one shirt at a time.
Every piece is printed in Canada when you order it. No mass production, no excess stock, no waste. Slower than fast fashion — on purpose.
